About the Conference

Communication plays a paramount role in the process of development. The world is passing through an era of communication, with rapid expansion in the reach of mass media, and improved techniques for the interpersonal exchange of ideas. Mass media have emerged so powerful in the recent decades that individual and social lives have become almost unimaginable without their presence. Mass media are indispensable in the developmental process too. Media today is not just something that can be simply classified into print and electronic; it has got multiple dimensions with the emergence of the satellite era.  Hence the conference aims to explore the future avenues of development and social change through the lens of mass media.

Call for papers

Research papers on any theme of the Conference are invited for presentation during the Conference. Student participation in the Conference will be highly appreciated. The abstract of papers, not more than 300 words, may be sent to Padmanabha K. V., Organizing Secretary [journalismtut@gmail.com] on or before 10th September 2012. The papers for the presentation will be accepted only after a thorough scrutiny and peer review.  Concerned authors will be intimated regarding the selection of their papers by 12th September, and they need to submit their full papers by 20th September 2012.
